The Foundation
Our Story
Inspired by the way Julie's school and the Orland Park community rallied around Julie during her short illness, Julie's family, aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with her friends were determined to become involved and play a role in eliminating leukemia and all blood cancers as a major cause of death in children.
Mission Statement
With new evolving technologies, and researchers developing new ways to use these technologies, our mission is to find and provide initial funding to these innovative investigators of leukemia and blood cancer research projects until they can find major funding sources. In addition, while we work toward our goal of eliminating blood cancers as a major cause of death in children, we will also assist affected families with the exorbitant costs of fighting cancer.
Making a Difference
To date, the For Julie Foundation has issued $330,000 in research grants and $120,000 in financial assistance to families.
