Julie Doody
Julie's Story
Julianne Doody was a beautiful 13-year-old girl in the final quarter of 8th grade when she was diagnosed with leukemia. She was a captain of her school volleyball team and voted "most likely to succeed" by her classmates. She would die within 14 weeks of diagnosis. While a great deal of progress has been accomplished in certain areas of leukemia treatment, much work remains to be done.
Every 9 minutes, another child or adult is expected to die from
leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma. This statistic represents 160 people each
day7 people every hour.
